SS IPTV setup guide for Samsung and LG TVs (2026)
SS IPTV (Simple Smart IPTV) is one of the few free players that runs natively on both Samsung and LG Smart TVs, which makes it the quickest way to watch IPTV without plugging in a stick or box. The catch is that you do not type your playlist into the TV itself. Instead, you link the TV to SS IPTV’s website with a short code and upload the playlist there. Once you have done it once, it takes about five minutes.
What you need
- A Samsung (Tizen, 2017 or newer) or LG (webOS) Smart TV connected to the internet.
- Your M3U playlist link. It’s in your activation message from us.
- A phone, tablet or computer with a web browser.
Step 1: Install SS IPTV
Open the Samsung Apps store or the LG Content Store, search for SS IPTV and install it. Open the app once so it finishes setting up and accepts the terms.
Step 2: Get your connection code
In SS IPTV, select the cog icon to open Settings, stay on the General tab and choose Get code. A short code appears. It is valid for 24 hours and links this TV to the online playlist editor, so keep it on screen.
Step 3: Add your playlist online
- On your phone or computer, go to ss-iptv.com and open Users → Playlist editor.
- Enter the code from your TV and select Add device.
- Choose External playlists → Add item, give the playlist a name and paste your M3U link.
- Select Save.
Back on the TV, close and reopen SS IPTV. A new tile with your playlist name appears on the main screen. Open it and your channel groups load.
Step 4: Switch on the programme guide
An EPG turns a plain channel list into a proper TV guide. In the online playlist editor, paste the EPG link we sent with your login into the EPG field and save. Restart the app; programme titles usually appear within a few minutes.
Tips for a smoother picture
- Use a network cable if your TV is near the router. It’s the single biggest fix for buffering on Smart TVs.
- If your TV has an “Instant On” or “Quick Start” mode, turn it off occasionally so the app is fully restarted.
- Older TVs can struggle with 4K channels. Pick the FHD or HD version of a channel if playback stutters.
Prefer a different app?
On many newer Samsung and LG models you can install IPTV Smarters Pro instead and sign in with your Xtream Codes details directly on the TV, with no code or website needed. Our Smart TV setup guide covers both routes, and if something does not load, our SS IPTV troubleshooting guide lists every common error.
