What changes the price of IPTV

Five things explain most of the difference between one provider’s price and another’s.

  1. How long you pay for

Longer terms cost less per month. Our yearly plan works out at £4.16 a month, against £6.66 on the three-month plan.

  2. How many screens watch at once

Each extra screen adds to the price, but the cost per screen comes down: from £4.16 to £2.91 a month on the yearly plan.

  3. Server capacity

Spare capacity for Saturday kick-offs costs money to run. Very low prices often mean overloaded servers at exactly the moment you want to watch.

  4. Support

A real person answering at 9pm on a Friday is part of what you pay for. The cheapest services rarely offer it.

  5. Picture quality

4K and Full HD streams use more bandwidth on the provider’s side. Every one of our plans includes them.

IPTV price per screen

On the yearly plan, one screen costs £4.16 a month and five screens work out at £2.91 each.

  • 2 screens£3.33 per screen a month
  • 3 screens£3.33 per screen a month
  • 4 screens£3.12 per screen a month
  • 5 screens£2.91 per screen a month

Other costs to plan for

The subscription is the main cost, but not the only one.

  1. A streaming device

If your TV can’t run a player app, a streaming stick such as an Amazon Fire TV Stick is a one-off cost, usually well under £60.

  2. Broadband

You need roughly 10 Mbps per screen for HD and 40 Mbps for 4K. Most UK fibre packages already cover that.

  3. A TV Licence

In the UK you need a TV Licence to watch or record live TV on any channel, whatever service you use.

  4. A player app upgrade (optional)

Free player apps work fine. Some people pay a few pounds a year for extras such as recording in TiviMate Premium.

Prices that should worry you

A low price is fine. These patterns usually aren’t.

How to choose an IPTV provider

  • A one-off “lifetime” price. These services tend to disappear within months.
  • A monthly price that only appears after you’ve handed over card details.
  • Automatic renewals that are hard to cancel.
  • Extra charges for sport, films or “premium” channels on top of the plan.

IPTV price questions

How much is IPTV a month in the UK?

Advertised UK IPTV prices range from a few pounds to around £15 a month. Ours works out at £4.16 a month on the yearly plan, or £6.66 a month on the three-month plan, for one screen.

Is IPTV cheaper than a pay-TV package?

Usually, yes. A yearly IPTV plan costs less than many pay-TV bundles charge in a single month once sport is added, and there is no contract, installation or equipment rental.

Why do IPTV prices vary so much?

Mostly because of server capacity and support. A service that stays stable at peak times and answers messages costs more to run than one that doesn’t.

Will the price go up when I renew?

We tell you the renewal price before you pay, and nothing is ever charged automatically. You decide whether to renew.

Is there a free trial?

No. Instead your first order has a 7-day money-back guarantee. Our IPTV trial page explains how to test the service without risk.
