How to set up IPTV on Roku
Roku does not allow full IPTV players in its store, so the dependable route is to play the stream on a phone, tablet or laptop and mirror it to the Roku. For everyday use a Firestick is simpler. Ask us if you would like advice.
-
Enable screen mirroring on the Roku
- Go to Settings → System → Screen mirroring.
- Set the mode to Prompt or Always allow.
-
Set up a player on your phone or laptop
- Follow our Android or Windows guide to install a player and sign in.
- Make sure the phone or laptop is on the same Wi-Fi network as the Roku.
-
Mirror to the TV
- Android: pull down Quick Settings and tap Smart View / Screen cast, then pick your Roku.
- Windows: press Win + K and select the Roku.
- Start a channel and it plays on the TV.
iPhone users can AirPlay to recent Roku models that support Apple AirPlay.
